Torsion springs
are helical coil springs that
exert a torque or rotary force
and are subject to bending
stresses, rather than torsional
stress, as the name implies.
Torsions springs are designed to
work in a clockwise or
counter-clockwise rotation so
that the deflection causes the
spring to wind up from the free
position – never to unwind from
the free position.
The ends of torsions springs are
attached to other components,
and when those components rotate
around the center of the spring,
the spring tries to push them
back to their original position.
Torsion spring ends are
straight or custom to meet your
individual application. We can
custom manufacture any Torsion
Spring and end, from almost any
material, to meet your design
needs.
